Well most of this piece went really well until I got to the background. I tried to use the reference's background but it just wasn't working at all for how well the Orca came out, so I decided to go all fantasy on it. I wasn't even meant to do a background at all for this but got a bit carried away, so OrcaKid you got quite a bargain here This is the first open Orca mouth I've done which was quite a challenge that I didn't enjoy lol, so not doing another anytime soon. I think the scale is a little off for the right eyepatch, but oh well. And yes one side has 10 teeth and the other has 8 they wound me up okay

Wow, wonderful painting with such amazing attention to all the reflections on the orca's skin! They can be so hard to get right, but you nailed em. The only real piece of advice I'd have for this painting is the reflection of the orca herself. Rarely if ever is a reflection on water/ice/whatever simply a flipped version of the actual animal; they're really things that need to be painted separately to come out right
